Patient Safety Congress poster success
We're pleased to announce that two of our entries into the Patient Safety Congress poster competition have been chosen as category winners!
There was a high level of strong submissions for the award, so it's a real coup for our work to be nominated.
Our work around Enhancing Quality in Community Acquired Pneumonia won the Improving Processes and Outcomes category, while Findings from piloting the use of Patient Activation Measures in Housing Associations won the Patient Voice category.
The posters will be displayed at the event in Manchester (July 2-3), and attendees will have the opportunity to vote from the 10 category winners, via the congress app, for the overall winner of the poster competition.
Peter Carpenter, Service Delivery Director at KSS AHSN, said: "We're just one of two AHSNs to be named as category winners, and so we're understandably thrilled with the result.
"The Patient Safety Congress is a high profile event, and we're now waiting with fingers crossed to see if our entry is chosen as the overall winner. Whatever the outcome we're delighted that our work has been recognised in this way."
East Midlands AHSN is also a winner in the Workforce category for its poster Second victimhood: how staff can be supported after an adverse clinical event.
If you're going to Congress (2-3 July in Manchester), show your support and vote for the AHSN posters via the app – you can vote for more than one.
