Register now for MatNeo Local Learning System event
The first in a series of four Local Learning System events to support Maternity units across the region with their MatNeo quality improvement plans is being held on 26 June.
The Kent, Surrey, Sussex Maternal and Neonatal Health Safety Collaborative Local Learning System event aims to create a safe space for delegates to learn from each other, define what works well and why; cutting through hierarchy and bureaucracy to rapidly spread improvements.
The event is open to all three waves from across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, including those who work in Local Maternity Systems (LMS), Maternity and Neonatal, Public Health, Commissioners and, in particular, frontline Doctors, Midwives, Nurses, students and MCAs. Those considered as part of the home quality improvement team are also encouraged to attend.
This work is part of NHS Improvement's National Maternity and Neonatal Health Safety Collaborative programme, and follows on from the exploratory event held in February.
Commenting on the event Ursula Clarke, Senior Programme Manager at KSS PSC, said:
"This is our chance for Maternity and Neonatal services across Kent, Surrey and Sussex to get actively involved in making care equitable across the region, reduce avoidable harm at scale and pace and pioneer improvement for our families and babies."
The final agenda will be sent out nearer the event, but it is expected to include an update on the national programme, Quality Improvement theory and learning from wave 1 sites on their improvement plans and safety culture questionnaires. There will also be opportunities to network, find other units looking at similar projects, and share information and ideas.
The all-day event will take place on Tuesday 26thJune 2018 at Bridgewood Manor, Walderslade West, Chatham, ME5 9AX. To register for the event, visit Eventbrite.
