Deteriorating Patient Collaborative – guest speaker announced
Kent Surrey Sussex Patient Safety Collaborative is pleased to announce that Dr Alison Tavaré will be giving a talk on Sepsis at its Deteriorating Patient collaborative on 9 July 2019.
Based in Bristol, Alison is a frontline GP and the Primary Care Clinical Lead at West of England Academic Health Science Network.
Her special interest is in the use of NEWS in the early identification and management of Sepsis. She was a member of the NICE Guidelines Development Group for Sepsis and is co-author of a Health Education England teaching package "Think Sepsis".
The event, which is being held in Crawley from 9am to 4pm, will also include an update on the RCGP Acute Kidney Infection (AKI) QI project; information on the implementation of ReSPECT in Sussex; and details on how South Kent Coast CCG and their GP Federation, Channel Health Alliance, have embedded the use of NEWS2 in all their services.
