Life

Supporting and underpinning all of our quality improvement work is Life – the health and social care quality improvement platform.

We’ve negotiated a bulk user licence with Life, which means that anyone working in quality improvement, including patients, in Kent, Surrey and Sussex can use the software at no cost.

Developed by South West AHSN, the system is based on the IHI model for improvement, and covers all aspects of project development, from driver diagrams to PDSA cycles and SPC charts.

As well as providing all the tools needed to run a quality improvement project, Life users can view other projects and work collaboratively with other organisations.

For those new to Life, we've created this guide that highlights some of the key features, and shows how to use the system.

Information governance

The Life team has put together a great blog on ensuring the privacy and security of data in Life QI, which lists a series of articles that break down the issue of information governance. This is a must read for anyone using Life.

KSS AHSN is not responsible for any data entered on the tool and advices you to adhere to your organisational IG polices.

LifeQI has gone through a major upgrade over the last nine months, and the new version is now live! All the changes can be seen here, and there's also a great series of Frequently Asked Questions.

A new Learning Centre has been added to Life, providing a wealth of material (more than 100 articles) on how to use all aspects of the system, from basic 'how to' guides to in-depth pieces describing various aspects of the model for improvement.
