Welcome to our new Q members!

Group 1.JPGFollowing a successful recruitment campaign over the summer, we were thrilled to bring together 100-plus new and existing Q members from across Kent, Surrey and Sussex at our Welcome Event.

The event at the Amex Stadium, Brighton, offered Q members the chance to find out more about what Q has to offer, and think about ways they could work together across the region, and beyond.

Tony Kelly, KSS PSC’s Clinical Lead for Leadership, Culture and Capability, described Q as part of the revolution in quality improvement across England that was sparked by the Berwick Report.

“This large army of skilled improvers that we have across the country are not only providing the quality improvement, but are enabling others to do effective quality improvement within their workplace,” he said.

The Welcome Event was on September 26 and included a range of talks, workshop sessions and networking opportunities.

Q is a national initiative that connects people with improvement expertise, delivered by the Health Foundation and supported and co-funded by NHS Improvement.

The new recruits come from a range of NHS, private health care settings, and patients, from across the region, and join the ranks of more than 1,000 Q members across England.

Together, they will be working towards the same purpose of sharing ideas, enhancing skills and collaborating to make health and care better.

While opportunities to join Q have closed for 2017, they will be re-opening in Spring 2018. To find out more about Q, and to register your interest in joining, visit https://q.health.org.uk/join-q/
