Working together for safer services - Kent Surrey Sussex Patient Safety Collaborative mobilisation report.jpgWorking Together for Safer Services

Kent Surrey Sussex Patient Safety Collaborative published its mobilisation report Working Together for Safer Services, which outlines how we plan to coordinate services across the region to make those changes, to make all services safer for everyone, in July 2015.

The national network of Patient Safety Collaboratives was established in October 2014 by the Department of Health to form the most comprehensive patient safety programme of its kind in the world.

Since being established we have been working with patients, carers and staff from healthcare and social services from across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Between October and May 2014 more than 850 people attended our series of workshops and events to help us to identify the priorities for improvement, and to help us plan how to make the changes that are needed.

We are not looking to reinvent the wheel. All of our plans build on existing excellent practice, and tie into national workstreams and resources.

We all have a role to play to improve patient safety. Membership of the Kent Surrey Sussex Patient Safety Collaborative is free.  To become a member contact us on 0300 303 8660 or email us at
