Information for Fellows
The Darzi Fellowship in clinical leadership is a fantastic opportunity to undertake change work with the support of peers and experts in the field of complex change, systems leadership, effective teams, improvement, and new models of care from the UK and internationally.
You will join a community of leaders within London and connect to leaders around the globe, through modules, coaching, action learning sets, co-consulting, skills and practice workshops, and an online global course with MIT. The group work includes simulations and exposure to leading thinkers and practitioners.
At the end of the Fellows Programme you will have:
- The knowledge, attitude, skills and change practices to lead the NHS of the future
- A wide network of critical friends and alliances to learn from (peer-2-peer learning)
- A deep understanding of new models of care, their benefits, challenges and application
- Made an impact on healthcare through the delivery of real change
- Confidence, resilience and the ability to lead in times of uncertainty
But don't take our word for it
Dave Hearn was a Darzi Fellow and now he is leading on the implementation of the first ever cohort of Darzi Fellows in Kent, Surrey and Sussex! Hear what he has to say.
Applications are now CLOSED
Thank you for submitting your application and showing an interest in the first ever cohort of Darzi Fellows in KSS. If you are lucky enough to be shortlisted as a Darzi Fellow, there will be a second stage selection day on the 6th and 15th February, where you will be invited to meet the sponsors and the Darzi steering group. You will be asked to complete a number of tasks such as group exercises and will be interviewed. Finally, if you get to the very last stage you will be invited to a matching day in March where you will meet your sponsors and discuss the programme in detail.
We anticipate that all Darzi Fellows will start their projects by May 2017, but flexibility on starting dates can be negotiated depending on notice periods. All Darzi Fellows will be required to attend all LSBU course modules in order to participate in the Darzi Fellowship programme. Dates for the course can be found in the course brochure below.
